背景：MSCS + MBA （瞎混的）+ １０年工作经念

现就职于一大公司。 TITLE是Sr. Software Engineer， 刚拿到公司内部另一部门的Architect的OFFER。

从工资来看，新职位（Architect）比我现在（Sr. Software Engineer）多＄１０K，但我现在也已拿到６位数（且我所在城市的生活费用不高），所以并不造成实质性区别。

从工作性质讲，当Architect会比我现在辛苦得多。

其实我是满喜欢我现在的工作，当时之所以申请， 是想到当了Architect以后，今后的发展空间更大。

我是快奔４０的人，最近人的精力和体力比以前差了不少，所以不想太折腾或做些没有很好ROI的冒险。

和几个做IT的朋友（非Architect）聊了聊，他们都说Architect的工作并不稳定，而且丢了工作后，比Sr. Software Engineer难找。

-- However, you are already a Sr. Developer, you still can find developer job whenever you need. Architect role will make you learn more good and new stuff, so it will help your future job hunting.
