term position 的工作我能做吗？

我是h1b转h4，上周投了一个大公司，recruiter第二天就来电希望约个时间聊聊，后来
仔细阅读job description,发现有这么一条：

This is a 12-18 month term position with the possibility of being extended.
Benefits will be provided.

我觉得这是个contract position，因为身份问题没有给她回电。今天recruiter又来电
话，希望谈谈，他们应该对我很有兴趣。可是，我需要h4转h1b才能工作。term
position 的工作我能做吗？
