A full time mechanical engineer position is available at Hstar Technologies, Cambridge, MA.

Hstar Technologies, a start up company dedicated on medical robotics and systems development, has been developing cutting edge technologies in medical robotics, virtual reality, haptics and human machine interaction, and entertainment robotics. As a fast growing company, Hstar Technologies is converting its advanced and innovative technologies of R&D into commercial products. We are seeking strong candidates in robotics assembly, mechanical design and development to join our talented engineering team.

This job position combines the following engineering areas;
• Very strong knowledge and experience with mechanical design in Solidworks or Pro/Engineer tools,
• Experience in mechanical system design on robotic systems, and prototyping and hands-on robotic assembly.

Understanding robotic control systems, robotic actuation and sensing techniques and computer programming skills are also desired, but not required in this position. The candidate for this position should be able to work in a team environment and coordinate the robotic development efforts, including system development, integration and testing.

Additional Information:
A bachelor or master degree in Mechanical Engineering with experience in robotic system development or equivalent is required. Experience on robotic system or component design and assembly/prototyping of robotic manipulators or devices is highly desirable. Knowing mobile robotic system design, development and control is a plus.
