According to Dr. S. Brobst, personated at IM2009 conference in April 2009, the project team put DB developers and DBAs as system/business analysts in the front line to help with the S/B As to write ad-hoc queries and learn the B/S A’s stuff.
Then, instead of making data mart, they applied mirroring/snapshots for the DW/BI as close to the real time oltp/olap ODS/DDS/MDS.
Neither oracle nor ms sql server gets the candy, but Teradata!
