how to choose between the two

woman at 35 with 1 kid 5years old..in /web development /.net /sharepoint field
current job :mid-large size company in financial industry, 1 hour 20 minutes commute(one-way), deal with more latest technology..bigger project to work with.

another offer: small size company with 9 people, more like a web design/development studio, company out source to them ..they deal with small project 2 weeks-4 months. 10 minutes driving from home.

salary wise is not too much of difference.

which one is better ? I have never worked at such a small company in MY IT CAREER before... does that mean a lot of uncertainty and not stable usually?
