从博后到lab manager/technician值不值？

今天去一个大学面试了，新的老板好像是波兰人，很喜欢成吉思汗，他说他很希望他的实验室每个成员都知道自己的责任和任务，还希望每个人都诚实，不说谎，即使实验中犯错也没有什么。最重要的是讲实话。。。总体来说我感觉新老板不错！

现在唯一的问题是job title.我现在的是research associate with soft money, 新的是lab technician/manager with hard money, 老公说这个新职位对我来说有点低。面试时新老板也答应我和系里去谈该title/salary的事情，但我认为希望不大，因为新老板刚受聘于这个大学，能力有限。所以，这里想请教大家，如果title换不了，工资要比现在的低，大家值不值得换工作？
