I think they maybe asking the copy command or transferring command between servers; however, from your post only, one can't tell how they asked EXACTLY.
Thus, try the combination answer of ftp/sftp/scp and with key generation knowledge (secure key, public key). If you got professional education in computer science, you should know the 'public key','secure key' issue, I assume.
