I was laid off 3 months ago. I sent an email to my boss asking if there is a chance I will be recalled back to work next year. the reply:
we have already been informed there will be IT layoffs. I don't
know what this means or what the impact to my group will be.
Your skills would certainly be a valuable addition to the
group at this time and I will keep you informed of any
activity that could bring you back.
Do you think the chance I get back to work is zero? or He may try to get me back if his group is not impacted next year?
thanks!
what does this mean?

别抱很多指望。老美很会说话。但也不时希望是0。接着找工。
