That or seeing the elephant passing on the flyover (that's overpass to a lot of you). They really DRIVE there, don't rely on rules and regulations to keep them safe. 据新加坡《联合早报》援引法新社报道，印度为保护本国低技能工人和取缔外来人员避税而实施的外劳驱逐令10月31日晚午夜到期，数万名外国工人，特别是中国劳工将受影响。

　　这一变动将影响持商务签证在印度工作的外国人。根据新条例，商务签证将保留给人数较少、职位较高的执行人员、贸易顾问和其他专家。

　　不符合新标准的外国人必须在10月31日午夜离境，只有重新取得全职就业准证后，才能再回印度工作。

　　内政部长皮莱本周说：“如果外国人在印度受雇用，他必须持有正确的签证。”

　　目前还不清楚多少人会受到影响，有关专家估计可能多达数万人。

　　孟买KPMG咨询公司的萨卡说，他认为这项较为严苛的规定是要把外国人赶出低技能的工作领域。萨卡说：“对来印度的低技能工人有了较多的限制。”

　　移民律师乔特尼也说，有关规定是针对免税的外国人。

　　根据以前的规定，持有商务签证的外国员工六个月内不用交税。在孟买LawQuest律师事务所的乔特尼说：“问题是，公司把这些人带进来，在六个月内送他们回国，然后再招进一批新人。如此一来，政府什么也得不到。”

　　印度媒体说，深受取缔令打击的是2万5000名目前在印度电力、通讯和石油领域工作的中国人。

　　在北部的喜马偕尔州，因为承包商雇用的大约100名中国人必须离境，一项主要的道路工程被迫停工了。
