I got offer last week. Decide to take the offer. Talk to the manager yesterday afternoon, give 2 weeks notice -- will terminate by the end of this month. Decide to join my spouse in another state.
Manager gets back to me this afternoon, saying the company are willing to increase my salary and let me work from home remotely.
Shall I stay with the current company (huge company, sites every where) or join the new company (mid size, but very stable, has very good reputation locally).
Current company has layoffs almost every year. But my performance is good enough to avoid that. Because of the ranking system imposed, the work environment is not pleasant. Since the bottom 10% will be cut, people are not working as a team as it used to be. Since the new CEO arrived 5 years ago. Benefit cut every year, no salary increases, morale overall is very low.
But the good thing is that it is huge, can transfer to other cities if I want to later on. That is flexibility is what I like.
Please vote and advice.
shall I stay, shall I go?
