飞鸟尽，良弓藏，狡兔死，走狗烹’ This is exactly right. I would suggest you leave this group if you can, of cause quietly. A few years back this was the same scenario in my group. I was in the same position as yourself. At the time, some people with lots of industry expereince advised me to move on to other groups or positions. I did not listen, thought that if I did a great job, things would be different. It is not. The pattern of your group's management is the "cut-throat" style, which means they do not care about their employees at all. If I had learned things now I know a few years back, I would immediately have started looking for other things and move on without even looking back.
