Whistle-blower protection

This is called "whistle-blowing" in US. There are laws to protect whistle-blowers in order for insiders to expose internal corruption, especially in the government. Government agencies and major corporations often have hotlines for whistle-blowers to anonymously provide information of corruption and wrong-doing. You'll need to check the provisions of whistle-blowing for the specific company in question.
An interesting example of whistle-blowing is the accounting scandal of Enron; an internal VP of accounting actually warned about the problem before it happened. Later the VP left Enron and became a famous speaker on the circuit. I forgot her name, but you can google it.

Whoever wants to be a whistle-blower should first discuss with a lawyer. Generally the whistle-blowing action is not to file a lawsuit, but to send e-mail or phone messages anonymously to the inspection office or to the media (called "leaking").

The more important question is why you want to be the whistle-blower. If the corruption hurts the society, someone got to stop it. This is justified, and should be protected by the law. If this is part of personal conflict or interest conflict, you want to stay away.
