Should I take the opportunity?

Hi, I have been working in the Financial industry about 6 years, I got MBA in Finance 6 years ago, and my last job was Manager in SF, CA, I was laid off several months ago, then I went back to China, worked on some projects for Chinese company. I got back to US in July. I probably will get an offer in SF with salary almost $24,000 less than my previouse job, I just wonder is the job market better for accounting and finance professional? and should I take the job with much less compensation? thank you very much for your advice!!!
