In this current bad economy situation, you should focu on yon own job. You may ask to do so when economy situation returns to normal.

Two reasons:

1. You show your boss you don't like your current job.

2. People does not like to share their skills/secret with others especially right now because
they worry about losing their jobs once someone can do their jobs.
