My boss (director) wants to restructure the group because she said she can't handle 11 direct reports any more. But she wants to add 3-4 managers, which in my case, the manager only manages me or maybe another one. Everyone tries to tell the boss this is over-done. The boss is now hiring a third party consultant to collect the feedback on the restructure (we had a 6 months trial run of this structure already, now boss wants to review it). But boss is notorious on getting the feedback and then ignoring it.
In my case, I am very unhappy with my assigned manager. I have no problem working in parallel with her. I respect her a senior (she has been here for more than 15 years), however, she usually dumps the work she don't like to me. i am worried that she will dump more work to me once she becomes my manager and i couldn't complain. I am worried that she will take my work and then it becomes her glory. How can i tell my director my concern?
