1. Yes, you do need to improve your communication attitude, not just skills, in a professional manner. reply email or phone call/message promptly is a good attitude even if you are not interested, or dislike those posistion or person(s), by simply saying that thank you...welcome next opportunity from you in the near future...
2. Yes, those email seemed to me as a strong signal and they are uncommon business emails. You know, recruiters are paid for their job, they need your yes or no answer so that they can proceed for next, or their system(s) will do some thing that might be out of their control(s), right?
3. respect, listen, communicate, then make your commitment.
