电讯职业规划

国内工科毕业,在一世界top5的外企作了几年产品市场营销(fast moving consumer products).北美top MBA毕业后在电讯营运商作策略分析,后转作产品开发(电讯)多年.

问题是我作的产品是enterprise IP network (e.g. cisco, junitper),虽然修过相关的EE/CS课,但没做过network engineer,总觉的技术和信心都不够. 这个细分市场里人们好象只看重engineers和sales, business的学历和经验不值钱.而且这个市场越来越小.

如果转做telecom services for the consumer market (e.g. internet, wireless), 我有市场的优势, 但没upper layers/applications 技术 as my focus has been routing and switching.

我想听听电讯内行人的建议. 谢谢!
