put lots of business logic on client side using js is not recommanded because of security issue and code are hard to maintain.but consuming web service or postback brings efficiency issue as well. we gotta figure out the best way to balance them.
yeah, u r right. js is pretty challenging for newbie as well as experienced ones.i know developers with more than 5 years experience with little knowledge of js which really surpirse me.
i personally like using js&jquery rather than c# just to avoid postbacks.
