The theory is: challenge - response.

Everybody is doing his/her best to make reasonable response to the challenge he/she faces. So is a nation or ethnic group collectively.

The survivor's response is the best one, because it is proved in history.

We are making the most reasonable responses as we thought to the challenges we encountered in US/Canada. Are these responses good or not? Only All Mighty God and people in the future know. Judgment from your mouth or mine is pointless.
