don't email her. sounds like there was already tension between you and the colleagues. the first thing you need to fix is the mis-trust, not the work. talk to them, be personal, understand their challenges, be reasonable. pay more attention to the politics than to the work now. politics is not about what is right or wrong, more about getting along.
