they will ask u what status you are after ur TN expired. Normally, if ur TN expired, u should leave US right away. if u enter US as visitor(no I94 when u enter), it is 6 month at most u stay in US.if U have no other legally status(change to F1,TD or H4/H1) in US after ur TN expired, u r illegal,and u will be in a trouble when u enter US next time.
