I agree. The employer first insisted that I put the desired salary info in the form, also all the salary history. Then he wanted me to lower the desired salary number as others ask for less. I do not know what is "considerably low", 10K or 20K lower? or just 5K lower? what is the point of his asking desired salary in the beginning? He can just give an low offer, and every people have the choice to accept or reject.
