how to get a spot in big 4, if i do not have enough auditing exp

i know they do recruiting in campus, the problem is i graduated in 2005, not in school right now. if you have any experience and comments to share, i will be very appreciated.
the job market is negative, i am working in private accounting, we had +40% downsizing in the past 3 months.
