Challenge
The Research Data Centre Analyst:

Administers the operation of the Research Data Centre (RDC) and ensures that the activity is consistent with Statistics Canada’s mandate. This includes assistance to research projects in preparation, administration of the RDC access (security checks and contracts), integration of new researchers and liaison with the program management.

Reviews all interim and final reports that emanate from the RDC to ensure that they respect Statistics Canada’s requirements regarding confidential information.

Provides consultation on research methods and on data concepts to researchers working in the RDC. Also maintains a liaison with the RDC network and Subject Matter Areas responsible for the surveys.

Provides assistance for the training and scientific activities organized by the RDC and targeting the users of Statistics Canada’s detailed microdata (as the hands-on workshops and the data training schools).

Under the direction of the regional supervisor, may develop or partipate in analytical studies using complex social survey data, census data, or administrative databases.
