本人在学校研究工作，待遇不高，特累，出路不明朗。想到外面世界走走，有一consulting公司给出: a rate cap of $50/h on 1099。 俺不明其意，请大侠指教。

==> 1099 requires that you'll be responsible for tax due. The rate is subject to your skillsets, what kind of job and market conditions (supply/demand). You can check dice.com to see how what rates are being quoted for similar jobs.

1 客户在MA，这个价位合理吗？那里可以查到比较准确的价位表？
==> MA is a large State - if your location is in metro Boston area, the cost of living is high; for western inland or rural area, the cost is low obviously

2 on 1099是不是指这个价位包括所有费用?没有benefit，医疗保险？对不！
==> 1099 self doesn't mean you have benefit or not, it's only a tax code. In most cases, there are no benefits under such a term.

The bigger issue is whether they'll pay expenses. Most seasoned consultants don't work under non-expenses term, unless all-inclusive rate is high enough (at least $25/h extra to cover the expenses).

3 俺理想价位在$75/h, 如何在要高价？
