How to deal with her?

I’ve been worked in an insurance company as an Actuarial for only 3 months. Our group only has 3 people, boss, a Taiwanese and me.

Boss is a very nice guy. The only thing that bothering me is I really feel uncomfortable of working with that Taiwan lady.

She told me, she doesn't want to speak Chinese and also asked me not to. That's fine. But we do have other Chinese co-workers in our company and we like to talk in Chinese. She always complained that we disturbed others since we are using different language. She’s sitting at the next cubic, so she can hear our conversation even though we always keep our voice very low…. The other thing is, she thought she’s my supervisor since she’s been hired 4 more years than me. She passed most of her work to me, and keeps watching me all the time. She told me lots of rules of working with her. Sometimes I feel she is just a rigid person, and what she did is for my good. I certainly learned something from her words. But it’s so frustrated to hear those harsh words.

She rarely smiles, even if, her smile looks so cold and fake. She’s never been invited in any Chinese events within our company, because she refuses to admit that she is a Chinese.

Sigh~~~ I was so happy when I first found we have a Chinese lady in our group …… I’m still trying to be nice to her but this uncomfortable feeling makes me very upset……

Please forgive my terrible English….. too busy to check. I guess I just want to vent this unhappiness out…. Thanks for listening.
