If you open up yourself

tell him how upset you are that you worked so hard to the point of getting sick and still cannot deliver a high quality satisfactory report or whatever. Stress like this will only affect people's enthusiasm and productivity in this happens repetitively. You understand he has tight deadline but you want to understand more of the situation and ask him to share more details with you so that together you 2 may find out some glitch in the process, fix it and prevent it form happening again. It could be just your boss did not stand up to his boss and protect his people. If this is the case, let him know that as his employee, you are replying on him to do the best thing for you and others in the team
