The total amount of your Unemployeement Insurance is a fixed number, therefore, you can start early, or later.

After you enter the program, at California, you need fill the paper every two weeks and showing you are actively looking (and you have willingness to looking and you in are in good healthy status).

Therefore, if you want to go back to China for vacation, you better wait till you come back.
