It is said that Chinese are better in math. Not true.

We are better in calculation. Most engineers I met don't understand what is math, no matter they are Chinese or not.

On the other hands, most of top mathematicians, physicist, and programmers are Westerners. It can be explained partially by their longer tradition in math and science. It is also because the math education in China is off the right track. If you have chance to see the math education in a good elementary school in USA, you will see the BIG difference.
