If you want to make money, go with Big-4 and it is easy to switch from public accounting for private sector after you got experience from Big-4.

For NYC location
Associate $70K - $90K
Senior Associate $80K - $110K
Manager $100K - 150K
Senior Manager $140 and above.

This is only the base, at Sr. Asscoiate and above levels, you can get bonus approximately 25% to 50% of your base.
