I am happy with my current job (been here four years), 90k a year (10 years
Programming experience). But after I heard this guy get paid 100k, that guy gets paid 120k, etc...I started to look for new job, then found a consulting position at a big company, $60/hr, about 120k/year without benefit.
After I told my boss, first he said he is going to match me, but after he heard it is not full time job, he said he can't match with contract jobs. But he persuades me to stay. That's weird to me, if you can raise my salary, why don't just raise it. What do you guys think?
To go,
Pro:
New company's big name might be good for my resume.
Doing something new in new company.
Pay just a little bit better (because of no benefit)
Con:
New Company is far from home.
Don't know if I can fit in the new position (I guess you will have this feeling if you stay at a position for a long time)
should I leave or should I stay

Hard to say. Either way, you'll hear people say 140k, 160k soon.
