First of all, thanks for the trust though:). Now let me try:

1. For sure that's not a perfect boss, that boss herself is perhaps a dead wood and has nowhere to go:). However, after all, she's still there! Is there any sign she'll be gone any time soon? If no, and if the lady does need to stay, then she simply has to deal with that! And I don't think that's a totally bad boss either, the lady got totally off at her coworkers saying "It's important to have your boss 'cc-ed" -- they are just pushing her back to her boss, of course in a polite way, but this lady still thinks she's fine with others, how much off is that? To be honest, tougher and smarter bosses would have kicked out much earlier, and wouldn't waste that much time with her.

2. What to do? Again, the only way is: kiss her boss's ass. Go approaching her in person, not just 'cc 'bcc stuff, go approaching her in the morning and saying: "Good morning, how are you?" -- I'm sure her boss will be surprised and think: What happened to this dumb woman? Of course, by standard, she will reply: "I'm fine, thank you. How about you?"

Then say: "Pretty good, thank you. Is there any special instruction from you for the day? Or Should I just keep doing what I was doing yesterday?"

If that lady does understand all these so far, I'll continue, otherwise I wouldn't waste more time.
