You should kiss the ass of each member of your current company for their willingness to still keep you there, and make sure they are happy about you. Canadians are good, in the sense that they are more naive than animals here in US, if you go kiss their ass, you may be able to make them believe you are good and worthy to keep for whatsoever use.
