If your company pays the legal fee for your greencard, your company should expect you work there during the next couple of years. Otherwise, why will your company pay $10k.

If you are the owner of this company, what do you think?

Our company (top 5 in US) does not consider anyone without greencard or US citizenship. It costs the company $15k for sponsoring H1B and greencard.

If I were you, I will sign it without any question. The fee ($9k) is not that much if you want to change jobs.
