Try to join them, be nice to each of them.

These folks have established very good harmony among themselves, they may have working with each other for a while, so they have set up their own culture – everything works, everybody knows what to do and what to expect. Be patient, be slow, try to get up with them, you should be fine. Specifically, for anything you need, try to put up head first, for example, if you need anybody for anything, try to shoot an email first like: “Hey how are you? I'm now working on...., I may need you for...., I'm just trying to see what time will be good for you.”.

Remember: this is a communication thing, you figure out people's mind, you fine!:) I want to take some credit for myself, I even coach Americans for this sort for this sort of thing:), and I have earned a reputation as a “master mind”:), strategist, ideologist:). Build confidence, build trust, all this kind of critical business things are done through effective communication! That's not blah, blah... that's communication!:) We humans bear a mind, and each mind needs to be fed.:)

Bye the way, I grew up in deep inland of China, got very poor starting point, only began to be exposed to English in high school – the sort of English that nobody really knows, understands, uses....:) I majored in biology as a collegist, knowing my English is the weakest link, so I fixed it in the hard way – made myself able to recite all the text book from memory, how is that? Then I got into masters program in a medical univ. back there, with such an impressive English score – much higher than required to be sent right here as a “Liu Xue Sheng”. I finished masters there first, then got to here, and found the same issue again: my English just does not work and, unfortunately:), I quickly recognzied that nobody would make a decent living if he does not talk, write in the decent way. So I killed this issue again – an over kill as usual, by reading New York Times everyday, straight from front page the real last line, not overlooking any word, from editorial to letters to editor:), to book review, to fashion:), how is that? Boys! And now, I'm so proud myself for just switching between Chinese and English as natively, and make up jokes:). We make ourselves gentlemen in this way, nothing can block us so long as we have the passion, will and determination, and a good will to be useful and helpful to others.

Did I have the green card, Yes I did! -- only after the same lengthy and painful experience as anybody! And I came from China – the kind of China remote to any major cities, started my school in the class of several grades taught by the same teacher!
