My wife does have some gaps

And recruiter knows about it. The recruiter told my wife to lie a little bit to tell the potential interviewer that she's a independent contractor. Well, my wife did well in the interview and she told them the truth that she has some gaps because of the family (We moved from NY to PA and she gave birth in PA and we moved back to NYC this year). Since the firm likes her, so they still give her offers.(One of the offer has a salary around the upper bound of my wife's expectation.)
