you should have kept cool and dealt it urself.

I mean many people repond to "屡屡检查的错误" defensively ... or as u said 耍态度. I always take the stand that you can 耍态度 all u want, but still u have to make sure that u do it right next time (and I normally say it with a smile). Bringing this 耍态度 up to you boss won't do u any good ... unless the other part crossed the line big time ... which is rarely the case.
