Dear all,
Please let me have your comments on my story below:
I recently joined a start-up company and got my first pay-check last week. I noticed that the number shown on the paycheck did not match with the salary shown on my offering letter. When I asked, I was told that the salary offered to me also included the company's contributions to my 401K account. This is not indicated in the offering letter.
I believe that the company's 401K match is my benefit and should not be counted as part of my salary. Am I right?
Thank you in advance for your opinions.

Salary is salary, and 401K match is 401k match
