Hello-
I have a situation that needs your inputs.
I changed my jobs pretty often in past few years.
Here is my brief job history.
1) current job - 8 months
2) previous job - 1 year
3) previous job - less than 2 years
4) previous job - 5 years
Now my former boss asked me to join him. His company seems have a good chance to go on public.
My plan is to stay in current job for at least two years so that my resume looks better. If I change my job now, I will have pretty bad job history on my resume from long term. I heard that I will have a good excuse if the job is from the former boss and if it is a good opportunity. Basically, I want to have a good reason to tell future interviewers for changing my job if they ask me why I changed my job so often.
Is that true that it is a good excuse for changing job if your former boss hires you?
As I mentioned above, I do not want to stay in currrent job forever but two years.
Please give me your comments.
Thanks everyone.
