IMHO, DBA is better than software engineer in many respects. But why is SE is more likely a profession for most Chinese? Language!
If you tout stay home (non-english speaker) moms can get a DBA job after some training, you are misleading at the minimum.
If I want to invest to get training, I'd get that from accredited programs.
Again, for credibilty purpose, I'd avoid making English errors under any circumstance.
