that's what i was told.. the new companies i interviewed with did ask the reason, and i put "volunteer separation".. they grilled me on technical stuff .. dont really seem to be surprised i got "laid off".. .even though i didn't use that term... i used "separation" , "release".. but everybody knows what i am talking about ..
