If the answers to both of these questions are "no" then go ahead to date him. Nothing wrong. Otherwise leave immediately. If you still struggle with your heart after leaving him, you should talk to a consoulor. Life is not about money although everyone needs money. I believe the raise you just got does not make a big different in your life, but a peace in heart would be a much more need for you.
