it is a good question. Here are a few of my thinking.

1) I want to see the project got success in my hand. I have experience several times that the project got killed not because of the bad programming, but bad management.
2) Of course, I love the high pay of management position.
3) I think I have good interpersonal skills. In terms of language, I admit that I have accent, but it does not seem affecting the communication at work. But who knows? People might just play nice.
4) As a female, I feel that I could not program for life long.
