First of all, congratulations! You must be a great mom since you took two years off to take care of your baby. That's wonderful! Those first two years are the most vunerable time for a baby who needs constant attention and love. Don't feel frustrated if you forgot most of what you learned at college. That's normal for all the moms who place family values over professional advancement.
Second, may I ask you if you have any working experience in IT industry? If not, you are in a tough situation. If you do, it should not be too hard for you to find a job again, especially in big companies' information system department. Most companies will hire people to maintain their database, server, etc. An easy job for a quick learner.
Third, if you want to live and work LONGER in IT field, project manager is a good choice. Some training involved. But all Chinese are good at exams, at least when I checked last time. As a project manager you can have a flexible schedule (meaning you can work at home). What you need to do is to improve your communication skills. Writing your posts in English is a first step. Pay attention to American corporate culture, learn how to use the right body language, how to read between the lines, how to prepare for meetings/conflicts, how to convince people, how to avoid stand-off, how to deal with politics, and much more.
Nothing is easy in the real business world. No pain, no gain. But Chinese women are superior to Chinese men in sports (soccer, basketball, volleyball, tennis, softball) and professional fields as well! And they are better perceived in the business world as well.
Just my two cents.
A few pointers
