回复：It's the same everywhere

This is a VERY good post! I think who wrote this post truly understand what is management. People has different ideas and ways of making life, so it is not a surprise everyone has different answers to the same question. Also, this is what senior management do everyday make communication flow all around the company to push business forward and achieve some common goals.

First, most questions in management are simply unsolvable; especially for a matured industry like you are in. So, never think there is a correct answer; there is no answers are correct or wrong. You can just make decisions making most sense at the moment of they are making.

Second, it is important to understand that we are playing a different ball game now. It is not your technical skills but interpersonal skills and personalities means the most as in your position. So, try to adapt yourself to it.

Third, this is business, not academic, you can have different opinions than your bosses. However, unless you know how to play the power game to make this happen, you are still not in the management picture. Most clever Chinese people will feel very difficult to work with people with ideas different than theirs. You should feel this is the way for managers to live.

Fourth, you should be happy for yourself, now you are in the management, just still confused about your power. If you always know there is an answer to the question and always can demo your ideas can work better than others. You cannot be in the management.

So, all in all, be positive and cheer up! Unless you want to back to a expert path of career rather than a management path of your career. You should stay with your company, until you feel no one can play political games with you any more (they are all beaten)! Then either you are already in a MD position or you can easily jump to any other management position in any other companies!
