Interview,可以介绍未公开的研究吗？

大家好，在下一难断之事求教。面试presentation可不可以涉及未发表的研究工作（博士后研究）？最新的研究结果往往最有说服力，无奈没老板许可终究怕不合适。（不敢找老板要许可）。怎样把握一个尺度而不侵犯原雇主的利益呢？另外大家都谈什么主题呢？请赐教，谢谢！
