the articles you posted about radiation in used japanese cars sold to Russia and Africa are out dated. do you think the japanese are just stupid that they would do the same to the new cars sold to U.S. , it's biggest customer? will the money saved (if so) worth the risk that the whole japanese auto industry could have a lost decade(s)?
I had a new 2005 Honda CRV for about 6 years -- it's value totally worth the price (and i agree that it lacked power and was noisy on the highway) -- then in 2012 I sold it for 50% of the original price.
after that i got a 2012 Chevy Suburban -- it had more problems in 1 year than the Honda CRV gave me in 6 years.
and i heard a lot online about problems in MBs and BMWs made in U.S. so what's your suggestion for the buyers like me who cannot afford "made in Germany"? -- NO audi for me though, even it is made in germany -- everyone i know who had an audi regrets it.
