车被撞，对方车没有保险怎么办？

昨天车停在停车场，有个老太太倒车撞到我们车尾，当时抄了她的保险号。晚上他儿子打来电话，想私了。因为保险不是老太太的，是她女儿的，而且已经过期。但对方说只能赔USD200，有些过分，因为以前有过类似经验，保险公司赔了600多。 现在不知如果对方真没有保险，我们去保险公司claim还能得到赔偿吗？多谢各位大侠赐教！
