After waiting for one hour, the guy called me in, and showed me that the tire had hole on side: As refer to 色大兄, he got the same story before. I am still thinking that the hole was punched after they get the tire off. Never mind, I had to change that tire. The tire was a very normal one, I would guess $60 could be the price, with 40K warranty. However, it turned out that they charged $90.
Well, 15 months later, yesterday, I found that tire was flat again. This time I had the road side kit and changed the tire with spare one. Then I studied the tire.
Along inside rim, right at the joint of surface and side, a deep grove wear was observed. On those wear, two holes and one soft spot was observed. Since I frequently checking tires, I do not believe that it is because of wrong tire pressure. Now I would guess such abnormal wear is due to the suspension system or alignment. If so, I should see uneven of the car height and non-straight driving. None of them observed during the past. Also, my suspension system works fine.
I took a look again on the tire. The grove is ok. However, when I press on the bottom of the grove on the surface, my feeling is that it is very thin. Although the tire is flat, but I have been touching flat tires many times and never have the same thin feeling. Now my guess is that wether the quality of the tire is very low, or the tire was remanufactured just by re-groving the used tire! All right, I inflated the tire again, to 32 PSI. Now I can see that the tire does not have a flat surface at all! It is round curve, which means the tire surface is really thin and can not hold the shape it should be.
So my conclusion, never go to sears. It is bad service, low quality, and faking people. Even the tire from Walmart will be better than theirs, at lower price.
