The rack they used to replace the old one must be a re-manufactured and many of the re-manufactured ones are leaking. I have brought a rack from Discount Autoparts before and it was leaking right after I installed it, I got a replace one and its valve is not set right so it was very hard to turn the wheel, the third one I got was a good one and it works ok. Using a re-manufactured parts will involve some kind of risk. Dealer always has higher price because they use new parts and they use those from the OEM manufactures.
